The Layout

Carton House Golf Club, located on a historic 1,100-acre estate, offers two championship courses: the Montgomerie Course and the O’Meara Course. The Montgomerie is a par-72 inland links-style course designed by Colin Montgomerie, featuring vast bunkering and rolling fairways. The O’Meara Course, a par-73 parkland layout, meanders through mature woodland and alongside the River Rye, offering a picturesque and strategic challenge.

Authenticity of the Landscape

The estate’s natural beauty is central to both courses. The Montgomerie Course showcases rugged, open landscapes reminiscent of traditional links, while the O’Meara Course takes full advantage of the parkland setting with tree-lined fairways, rivers, and lakes. Both courses provide stunning views of Carton House’s 18th-century manor.
